What you will do

  • Serve as CMO’s strategic finance partner, delivering executive narratives on marketing performance, investment trade-offs, and spend-to-pipeline outcomes in MBRs.
  • Own upper-funnel spend planning and governance across channels like brand, digital, events, content, PR, including allocation, scenario planning, and ROI maximization.
  • Lead annual and long-range planning for Marketing Finance, analyzing levers for pipeline growth, consolidating budgets, and aligning stakeholders.
  • Drive marketing analytics, KPIs (CAC, CPL, ROI), dashboards, and insights to action performance improvements.
  • Forecast monthly/quarterly spend, conduct variance analysis, manage headcount planning, and operate investment review for initiatives and vendors.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Ops on attribution, funnel analytics, and metric governance to trace marketing to revenue.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop finance/analytics talent supporting Marketing.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in FP&A, strategic finance, or marketing finance in high-growth B2B (SaaS preferred).
  • Strong grasp of marketing funnel economics, upper-funnel levers, and ROI/pipeline measurement.
  • Proven partnering with senior leaders (CMO/VPs), translating strategy to plans and decisions.
  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and scalable governance for spend.
  • Advanced analytical skills: financial modeling, scenario planning, executive narratives.
  • Experience with Tableau/Power BI, Salesforce; martech/attribution a plus.
  • Leadership experience scaling teams; excellent communication in fast-paced environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
