What you will do

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot next-generation RF ablation systems and high-frequency generators.
• Lead technical innovation and identify/mitigate technological risks throughout the design process.
• Collaborate with physicians to translate clinical needs into technical product requirements and concepts.
• Develop control algorithms and integrate electronics with mechanics for medical device functionality.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the generation of intellectual property.
• Drive projects from the concept phase through to commercialization.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Level 8) with 7+ years of relevant experience, or a PhD with 5+ years of experience.
• Must be based in Galway, Ireland, with a requirement to work onsite 4 days per week.
• Proven expertise in the design of electronic Class II and Class III devices for medical applications.
• Experience with RF ablation systems, therapy application, and algorithm development.
• Knowledge of ISO standards for medical devices and pre-clinical evaluation.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
