Salary: €94,720 – €142,080

What you will do

• Serve as the design owner for released product engineering, planning and executing testing and analysis for product changes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with program managers, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure design intent is maintained.
• Perform hands-on root cause analysis and troubleshooting directly on the manufacturing floor.
• Design and execute verification and validation activities to ensure products meet user needs and intended use.
• Translate Voice of Customer (VoX) feedback into concrete product requirements.
• Mentor and guide junior and senior level engineers, delegating and reviewing technical work.

Requirements

• Must be located in or be able to work onsite in Galway, Ireland (3-4 days per week).
• L8 degree with 10+ years of experience, Master's with 8+ years, or PhD with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong expertise in complex mechanical system design and product risk management.
• Proficiency in issue investigation and CAPA processes.
• Experience with 3D modelling, finite element analysis (FEA), and statistical design analysis.

Nice to have

• Experience in the medical device industry and high-volume manufacturing.
• DRM Greenbelt certification or higher.
• Ability to apply statistical methods and science-based decisions to design experiments.
• Proven track record of delivering quality technical work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
