What you will do

• Create and maintain documentation on product functionality, troubleshooting, procedures, and best practices through research and collaboration.
• Translate Linux CLI concepts and commands into concise, jargon-free instructions for teams and customers.
• Author step-by-step tutorials on file system management, service troubleshooting, log analysis, firewall setup, and more.
• Develop SOPs and compliance documentation for security, incident management, and data privacy.
• Utilize AI-driven optimization and SEO to enhance content visibility and self-service capabilities.
• Analyze feedback and metrics to identify content gaps and align strategy with business goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on product developments and support learning assets like videos and assessments.

Requirements

• Subject matter expert in tools, processes, and products with experience authoring technical content.
• Strong analytical skills, including root cause analysis like 5 Whys.
• Excellent written English communication with attention to detail.
• Prior experience in web hosting or data center environments.
• Linux proficiency: hands-on experience in Linux (RHEL, Fedora, CentOS preferred), Bash commands, file permissions, process management, basic networking tools.
• CLI expertise: capture, interpret, and format command-line output for documentation.
• Experience creating SOPs, runbooks, or compliance documentation with pedagogical approach.

Nice to have

• Background in technical customer support, training, or writing.
• Knowledge of Bash or Python scripting.
• Experience with Fedora or Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Instructional design skills: ADDIE, Bloom’s Taxonomy, Action Mapping.
• Public speaking for training sessions.
• Experience with Articulate Rise 360 or multimedia tools like Adobe Creative Cloud, Snagit.
