What you will do

• Define and lead the strategic vision for the Economic Growth Practice aligned with regional and global priorities.
• Grow a strategic, diversified pipeline of new business and lead bid strategies for major tenders.
• Build and maintain senior-level relationships with UK government departments (FCDO, DBT), DFIs, and MDBs.
• Provide senior oversight of the portfolio to ensure technical excellence, financial performance, and client satisfaction.
• Build and lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary team of experts.
• Drive thought leadership and represent the organization at senior external forums and conferences.

Requirements

• Senior leadership experience in economic growth, private sector development, market systems, or economic reform.
• Demonstrated track record in delivering economic development programmes at scale.
• Proven success in winning work and managing major bidding processes.
• Experience overseeing large, complex delivery portfolios with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate complex finance concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Right to work in the UK is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating economic resilience considerations into growth, jobs, or private sector programmes.
• Existing relationships with DFIs, MDBs, and climate or nature initiatives.
• Familiarity with UK Government priorities related to economic resilience and security.
