Practice Lead, Climate and Environment (Consulting): Shaping the Climate & Environment Practice to consolidate global leadership in forest governance and nature action with an accent on climate adaptation and resilience. Focus on growing a high-quality pipeline of work, leading bid strategies for major tenders, and ensuring excellence in the delivery of complex donor-funded programmes.
Location: Based in ’s London office (Hybrid: 3 days office, 2 days remote). Must have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do
- Define and lead the strategic vision for the Climate & Environment Practice aligned with regional and global priorities.
- Own and grow a strategic pipeline of new business and lead bid strategies for major tenders.
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with UK government departments (FCDO, DESNZ, DBT), DFIs, and MDBs.
- Provide senior oversight and quality assurance for the Climate & Environment portfolio to ensure technical excellence.
- Build and lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary team of global experts.
- Drive thought leadership and represent the company at senior external forums and conferences.
Requirements
- Senior leadership experience in climate, environment, forestry, land use, or natural resource governance.
- Demonstrated track record in forest governance, nature-based programmes, or climate adaptation.
- Proven success in winning new business and managing major tenders.
- Experience overseeing large, complex delivery portfolios with multiple stakeholders.
- Must have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- Experience working at the intersection of forest governance, climate adaptation, and livelihoods.
- Existing relationships with DFIs, MDBs, and nature initiatives.
- Experience designing and delivering locally led adaptation and resilience programmes.
