What you will do

• Administer and maintain Hyper-V virtualized test environments for energy systems (HVDC, FACTS).
• Configure and manage physical and virtual network devices, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Manage the full lifecycle of virtualization and network components in alignment with cybersecurity guidelines.
• Implement and refine system hardening measures and remediate security issues as they arise.
• Maintain backup, recovery processes, and create disaster recovery plans for test infrastructure.
• Provide technical support and create documentation for network configurations and security procedures.

Requirements

• MSc degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or comparable professional training.
• Expert-level knowledge of Windows Administration and virtualization technologies (Hyper-V or VMware ESXi).
• Proven experience with physical and virtual network infrastructure configuration.
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) and PowerShell for automation.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• English: Proficient spoken and written level required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Linux or macOS administration.
• Basic knowledge of database handling.
• Advanced Python skills for security testing automation.
• German language proficiency.
