Location: Berlin, Germany (Remote work possible within Germany only). Flexible working: remote, hybrid, or in the office in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Fluency in German required – meetings conducted in German.

Salary: €65,000 to €85,000 base + performance-based bonus

What you will do

• Develop Kubernetes infrastructure in OVH & Hetzner multi-cloud/multi-region setup with zero-downtime deployments.
• Maintain and expand Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/OpenTofu) for networks, databases, storage, security, and monitoring.
• Implement logs, metrics, traces, and improve system stability, performance, availability.
• Apply security best practices (IAM, secrets, hardening, encryption, backups) and support compliance (ISO 27001, GDPR).
• Participate in on-call rotation, improve alerting, incident management, disaster recovery, runbooks, and postmortems.
• Support dedicated hosting for enterprise customers.

Requirements

• Several years (typically 5+) as DevOps/Platform Engineer in cloud/SaaS, with broad end-to-end ownership, ideally in startups/small teams.
• Extensive Kubernetes knowledge (deployment, networking, ingress, observability, scaling) and EU clouds (OVH, Hetzner).
• Extensive IaC experience with Terraform/OpenTofu (modules, state, secrets, environments).
• Confident with monitoring/logging/alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Loki).
• Cloud security understanding (networks, secrets, encryption, configurations).
• Experience with highly available mission-critical systems, ideally B2B SaaS/security.
• Fluency in German; good English.
• Structured, self-directed, quality-conscious, pragmatic approach.
