Vehicle Technician

TL;DR

Vehicle Technician (Automotive): Completion of vehicle inspections, work requests, and assembly/repair of electrical and mechanical systems with an accent on fault diagnosis and rectification. Focus on interpreting harness drawings, applying workshop procedures, and ensuring quality standards in a luxury automotive OEM environment.

Location: Gaydon/Warwick, UK. Applicants MUST have proof of immediate, on-going and valid eligibility to work full time in the UK and travel within the EU.

What you will do

• Complete Work Requests, Initial Vehicle Inspections (IVIs), and job cards to required quality standards.
• Identify and describe build and quality issues during inspections and drive assessments.
• Assemble, replace, or repair electrical and mechanical systems and components.
• Diagnose, trace, rectify, and validate faults.
• Read and interpret harness drawings/repair instructions (Topix) and liaise with engineering.
• Apply all workshop and safety procedures accurately.

Requirements

• Must have indentured/modern apprenticeship in Automotive Electrical/Mechanical or equivalent Level 3 qualification with documented evidence.
• Proof of immediate, on-going UK work eligibility and EU travel ability.
• Strong technical knowledge of vehicle assembly/rectification (electrical & mechanical).
• Knowledge of vehicle servicing/maintenance.
• Previous experience interpreting harness drawings.
• Working knowledge of TOPIX, FMS/Salesforce/IQM, Corvus, DMD.
• Good IT skills, including computer diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of PHEV/MHEV/BEV systems.
