What you will do

• Own the long-term technical vision and architectural roadmap for data center footprint and global traffic routing.
• Set standards for hardware provisioning, bare-metal lifecycle management, and scalable network architectures.
• Architect and scale edge and traffic routing solutions using CDNs (Fastly, Cloudflare), BGP, Anycast, and Istio.
• Lead improvements in bare-metal performance, hardware efficiency, and network reliability.
• Collaborate with domain teams to eliminate infrastructure bottlenecks and unblock massive-scale initiatives.
• Solve complex distributed systems problems, including DDoS mitigation and global latency optimization.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as an architect, principal, or staff engineer in immense-scale infrastructure environments.
• Hands-on expertise in scaling physical data centers, bare-metal provisioning, and Linux networking.
• Strong knowledge of massive-scale traffic management, Edge architecture, L4/L7 load balancing, and routing protocols (BGP).
• Practical experience scaling service mesh architectures (e.g., Istio) in multi-cluster environments.
• Ability to design highly available, fault-tolerant network topologies.
• English: Excellent written and spoken proficiency required.
