What you will do

• Install, configure, and manage PostgreSQL on bare-metal servers.
• Tune PostgreSQL for high performance, reliability, and scalability across different workloads.
• Optimize databases supporting OLAP/analytical workloads, including schema, indexing, and partitioning.
• Build and maintain database monitoring, alerting, and performance dashboards.
• Identify and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks across database, OS, storage, and hardware layers.
• Establish best practices for database operation, maintenance, backup, recovery, and capacity planning.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in PostgreSQL and hands-on experience as a DBA.
• Proven experience with PostgreSQL performance tuning in self-managed or bare-metal environments.
• Strong understanding of OLAP systems and performance tuning for analytical workloads.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve bottlenecks across queries, indexing, memory, CPU, and disk I/O.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-level optimization, including NVMe SSDs and server tuning.
