What you will do

• Define and execute network security strategy aligned with Zero Trust principles and business objectives.
• Architect and maintain network security technologies across cloud, data center, and branch environments, including NGFW, VPN/ZTNA, and WAF.
• Manage the firewall policy lifecycle and lead secure connectivity initiatives for cloud adoption and SD-WAN evolution.
• Integrate network security into CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks using Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Ensure compliance and alignment with PCI, SOC 2, GLBA, and internal security standards.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of network security engineers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in network security engineering, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior technical role.
• Hands-on expertise with enterprise-grade firewall platforms and secure network architecture.
• Proven experience securing hybrid architectures and implementing ZTNA or Zero Trust controls.
• Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, routing, VPN technologies, DNS security, and encrypted traffic inspection.
• Proficiency with IaC practices (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD integration.
• Must be based in the Atlanta, Georgia office.

Nice to have

• Experience working within financial services or other heavily regulated industries.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, PCNSE, NSE7, or AWS/Azure/GCP architecture.
• Familiarity with container networking, service mesh architectures, and secure API connectivity.
