Salary: $125,000 - $160,000 a year

What you will do

• Own design, development, and maintenance of internal Django API routes and services.
• Build scalable Python backend systems supporting internal tools and cross-functional needs.
• Define best practices for Django architecture, API design, authentication, and versioning.
• Partner with product, operations, and engineering teams to deliver reliable APIs.
• Improve performance, reliability, and observability of Django services.
• Debug issues, optimize integrations, and maintain documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years building backend applications and APIs in Python with deep Django expertise
• Experience designing and maintaining RESTful API routes and service architectures.
• Proficiency with Django views, serializers, models, permissions, and middleware.
• Strong PostgreSQL skills including schema design and query optimization.
• Redis experience for caching, queues, and performance.
• AWS environments, authentication, security, automated testing, and debugging.

Nice to have

• Ad tech, marketing technology, or data-driven media experience.
• Asynchronous processing, job queues, and event-driven patterns.
• Observability with logging, metrics, and tracing.
• Containerized deployments and CI/CD workflows.
