What you will do

• Serve as the primary escalation point and operations owner for Python and .NET developer tooling ecosystems.
• Monitor and optimize the health and performance of toolchains (uv, Poetry) and IDE configurations.
• Lead developer experience initiatives using data, such as build times and pipeline success rates, to reduce friction at scale.
• Create and maintain standardized tooling distribution mechanisms to streamline engineer onboarding.
• Collaborate with security teams to harden configurations and manage software vulnerabilities.
• Contribute to on-call rotations and maintain operational runbooks and escalation procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering.
• Strong expertise in the Python ecosystem, including dependency management (Poetry, uv) and virtual environments.
• Experience with .NET development tooling and SDK management in enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid capacity in Austin.

Nice to have

• Experience building or maintaining internal developer portals or self-service tooling.
• Exposure to IDE plugin or extension management at scale (VS Code, JetBrains, Visual Studio).
• Experience with developer experience metric frameworks.
• Familiarity with container-based build environments or ephemeral CI runners.
