What you will do

• Collaborate with vendors to acquire network capacity like dark fiber, wavelengths, and leased lines, negotiating contracts for cost and performance.
• Plan and design wide-area network infrastructure supporting global connectivity needs.
• Oversee project delivery for circuits, managing timelines, risks, and handovers to operations.
• Build relationships in telecom industry, attend events, and leverage insights for connectivity improvements.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and evaluate vendors based on performance and alignment with goals.

Requirements

• At least 7 years in network architecture, transport technologies, and carrier/vendor management with expertise in low-latency connectivity.
• Strong knowledge of wide-area networks, optical systems (wavelengths, DWDM, dark fiber), and capacity planning.
• Experience coordinating end-to-end connectivity projects, meeting timelines and budgets.
• Well-networked in telecom with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25%, occasionally 50% during key projects.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with RF technologies, wireless systems, and point-to-point microwave networks.
• Proficiency in network planning, performance evaluation, and reporting tools.
