What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Go-based microservices for messaging, geo services, and partner integrations.
• Build scalable, high-performance solutions for Same-Day Delivery and distance matrix calculations.
• Implement and optimize backend REST API services with a strong focus on low latency.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Take ownership of production services, ensuring reliability and participating in on-call support rotations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience in Golang (preferred), Python, Java, or C/C++.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining backend REST API services with a focus on performance.
• Proficiency with SQL databases, preferably Postgres.
• Experience building systems that integrate with third-party services and designing scalable architectures.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Must be based in or near Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka.
