What you will do
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for select accounts in the industrials sector.
- Develop and execute communication strategies to deliver results and meet client expectations.
- Write and edit a variety of materials including press releases, memos, media pitches, and web content.
- Counsel clients on industry, company, and market developments while identifying emerging risks.
- Manage account teams, mentor staff, and oversee billing and resource allocation.
- Participate in the generation of new business proposals and presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, political science, journalism, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in a communications agency, corporate, or government environment.
- Current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
- Demonstrated professional network and experience pitching media to secure client coverage.
- Superior public policy, writing, editing, and research skills.
- Ability to travel to offices and client sites as needed.
Nice to have
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 and AI/LLM tools.
- Familiarity with the industrials sector (e.g., chemicals, agrifood, manufacturing, aerospace and defense).
- Experience with media monitoring tools like Factiva, Cision, Brandwatch, or Talkwalker.
- Familiarity with the Associated Press Stylebook.
