What you will do

• Develop and deliver new features for GitHub Enterprise Server and Cloud platforms.
• Govern platform configurations, standards, access models, and operational policies.
• Manage infrastructure and cloud deployments for SCM platforms.
• Administer self-hosted JFrog Artifactory and provide Bitbucket support.
• Write Bash or Python automation scripts for platform management.
• Build and productionize proofs of concept for improvements.
• Detect and mitigate security and compliance risks in code and artifacts.

Requirements

• Strong Linux fundamentals, including networking and virtual machine administration.
• Solid knowledge of Git and GitHub, including GitHub Actions.
• Experience with cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience writing automation scripts in Bash or Python.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Capability to work with big data queries and dashboards in Splunk.

Nice to have

• Experience in DevOps environments or similar technical roles.
• Programming experience (Python, NodeJS, Go, Java).
• Administration experience with GitHub, Bitbucket, or comparable platforms.
• Familiarity with artifact management solutions such as Artifactory.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, Puppet).
• Experience with GitHub’s backup-utils tool, Kubernetes deployments, Microsoft or GitHub Copilot, or CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
