Cybersecurity AI Risk and Governance Director, Global

Location: Denver, Colorado or Ashburn, Virginia; hybrid schedule with 3 days on site required and 2 flexible days

Salary: $195,000–$210,000 base annually plus bonus

What you will do

• Establish enterprise governance for detecting, classifying, and managing unauthorized AI across business units.
• Define and enforce security architecture standards for AI, ML, and LLM platforms across cloud, hybrid, on-premises, and OT-adjacent environments.
• Provide security design oversight for AI data pipelines, model hosting, inference paths, APIs, integrations, applications, agents, and workflows.
• Lead AI-specific threat modeling, risk-register management, monitoring, telemetry, audit logging, and integration with SOC, SIEM, and incident response workflows.
• Establish incident response playbooks and lead responses to AI-related security, safety, and governance incidents.
• Safeguard OT and critical infrastructure by enforcing read-only access, one-way data flows, manual overrides, vendor controls, and prohibitions on autonomous AI control of OT assets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security architecture, or risk engineering.
• Hands-on experience securing data pipelines, APIs, cloud platforms, and analytics or ML-enabled systems.
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management, encryption, logging, and secure system design.
• Ability to lead cross-functional security governance across operational, OT, and enterprise environments.
• On-site presence in Denver or Ashburn is required three days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience securing AI/ML platforms, LLMs, or analytics pipelines.
• Cloud security experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, or SaaS-based AI platforms.
• Familiarity with OT, critical infrastructure, or safety-critical environments.
• CISSP, CCSP, CISM, or cloud security certifications.
