Senior Data Scientist (Marketplace)

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This role does not come with relocation assistance.

What you will do

• Define the strategy and vision for Data Science solutions from ideation to full productionisation.
• Identify and prioritize strategic business problems, translating them into data stories using statistical analysis and modeling.
• Design and interpret quantitative experiments to objectively guide long-term strategic decisions.
• Manage a broad range of stakeholders, from operational staff to Senior Director level.
• Act as a force multiplier by coaching, mentoring, and sharing best practices with peers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Data Engineering teams.

Requirements

• Expertise in experimentation and knowledge of causal inference beyond A/B testing.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, including experience building libraries and modules.
• Strong understanding of fundamental machine learning concepts.
• Strong knowledge of reporting and visualization techniques (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Familiarity with APIs.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Amsterdam (no relocation assistance).
