Senior Azure Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Senior Azure Security Engineer (Azure): Designing, deploying, and operating secure Azure Government and M365 GCC High environments for clients handling CUI with an accent on CMMC and NIST 800-171 compliance. Focus on building secure landing zones, implementing Zero Trust architectures, and managing security controls like Sentinel and Entra ID.

Location: Primary work location is Marietta, GA or Remote. Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, green card holder, refugee, or asylee) due to ITAR and EAR export control regulations.

Salary: $145,000 - $175,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end Azure Government and GCC High engagements from discovery through production handoff.
• Design and implement secure cloud environments using Zero Trust and defense-in-depth concepts.
• Build and harden Azure Government landing zones, networks, identity, compute, and AVD.
• Implement Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, RBAC, and secure privileged administration patterns.
• Configure Azure Firewall, NSGs, private endpoints, routing, and network segmentation.
• Develop monitoring, log analytics, and Sentinel detections to ensure operational readiness.

Requirements

• 7+ years in infrastructure or security engineering with hands-on Azure experience.
• 3+ years designing and deploying secure Azure environments in production.
• At least one full GCC High or Azure Government implementation from design to go-live.
• Proficiency in Terraform, Bicep, ARM, and PowerShell/CLI scripting.
• Microsoft Certified Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) required.
• U.S. Person status required for compliance with ITAR and EAR export controls.

Nice to have

• Certifications: SC-100, SC-200, CISSP, CCSP, Security+, or CASP+.
• Consulting or Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience.
• Experience with AVD in regulated environments and policy-as-code.
