AWS CWI for Oak Ridge, TN - Permanent and Contractors

TL;DR

AWS CWI (Pipe/Structural Inspections): Perform examinations of materials in accordance with procedures, codes, standards, and specifications with an accent on pipe and structural welding inspections. Focus on interfacing with clients, preparing written instructions and reports, and guiding trainees in industrial environments.

Location: Oak Ridge, TN - must be local to the area or willing to relocate (relocation assistance available). U.S. Persons only (ITAR requirements).

What you will do

• Perform examinations of materials for pipe and/or structural inspections per codes, standards, and specifications.
• Interface with managers and clients to determine scope, priorities, and meet expectations.
• Prepare written instructions, organize, and report examination results.
• Provide OJT and guidance to trainees; work independently and support team members.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• AWS-CWI certification with at least 5 years experience in piping and/or AWS D1.1 structural inspections.
• Working knowledge of industrial environments and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Pass drug screen, valid driver’s license with clean record, and U.S. Person status (ITAR).
• Ability to work in confined spaces, heights, around hazards, lift 100 lbs, and travel/extended shifts.
