What you will do

• Own portfolio-level financial analysis including budget health, forecast accuracy, margin performance, and risk identification.
• Lead project financial oversight across full lifecycle from award to closeout, ensuring financial best practices and controls.
• Perform variance analysis to identify drivers of change, scope creep, and risks.
• Develop and maintain trial operations KPIs linking operational performance to financial outcomes like enrollment pace vs. burn.
• Leverage Excel and Power BI for scalable dashboards and analyses supporting portfolio governance.
• Partner with department heads, providing insights, presentations, and support for planning and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) + 5 years of related experience.
• Strong background in project finance within a CRO environment.
• Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills for engaging senior leaders.
• Ability to connect operational activity to financial outcomes with high attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s in finance, accounting, business or related.
• 5-8 years in project finance, FP&A, or operational finance, preferably CRO/clinical research.
• Experience managing clinical trial portfolios and complex project financials.
• Advanced Excel (financial modeling, scenario analysis) and Power BI knowledge.
• Understanding of clinical trial financial drivers, project lifecycles, and contract mechanics.
