What you will do

  • Own the electromagnetic design of next-generation CPAP motorized blowers from concept to mass production.
  • Optimize designs for acoustic performance, efficiency, thermal limits, and regulatory constraints.
  • Perform hands-on design of magnetics, materials, winding, and rotor/stator geometry.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with acoustics, electronics, firmware, manufacturing, and quality teams.
  • Mentor junior team members and serve as a best practice resource within the motor design domain.

Requirements

  • Expertise in DC electric motor design with proven experience from ideation through mass production.
  • Specialized knowledge in electromagnetics and the ability to solve novel problems through critical thinking.
  • Experience using simulation software to refine and optimize DC electric motor designs.
  • Must be based in or able to work in Calabasas, CA (Hybrid).
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related professional experience.
  • Prior experience working with medical devices or other highly regulated fields.
