What you will do
- Own the electromagnetic design of next-generation CPAP motorized blowers from concept to mass production.
- Optimize designs for acoustic performance, efficiency, thermal limits, and regulatory constraints.
- Perform hands-on design of magnetics, materials, winding, and rotor/stator geometry.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with acoustics, electronics, firmware, manufacturing, and quality teams.
- Mentor junior team members and serve as a best practice resource within the motor design domain.
Requirements
- Expertise in DC electric motor design with proven experience from ideation through mass production.
- Specialized knowledge in electromagnetics and the ability to solve novel problems through critical thinking.
- Experience using simulation software to refine and optimize DC electric motor designs.
- Must be based in or able to work in Calabasas, CA (Hybrid).
- Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of related professional experience.
- Prior experience working with medical devices or other highly regulated fields.
