Location: Must be based in Massachusetts and the surrounding region

What you will do

• Refurbish, repair, and validate microplate readers, including absorbance, fluorescence, luminescence, and multimode systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective repairs both in-house and at customer sites.
• Execute calibrations and performance verification to meet OEM and internal quality standards.
• Diagnose complex electronic, optical, mechanical, and software-related faults.
• Install and commission refurbished systems at customer locations and provide end-user training.
• Document all service activities, test results, and refurbishment records with high accuracy.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience servicing microplate readers or related laboratory instrumentation.
• Strong theoretical and practical understanding of optical detection technologies.
• Hands-on troubleshooting proficiency across electronics, optics, and mechanical systems.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Life Sciences, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work independently in a field-based role within Massachusetts and nearby areas.

Nice to have

• Experience working specifically with refurbished or certified pre-owned instruments.
