Systems Administrator (Posit Administrator)

Systems Administrator (Posit Administrator): Maintain and enhance multiple Posit deployments (Workbench, Connect, Package Manager) for critical public health analytics infrastructure with an accent on Linux system management, R/Python dependencies, and security compliance. What you will do

• Lead installation, configuration, and maintenance of Posit Workbench, Connect, and Package Manager across multiple deployments
• Manage complex R, Python, and system dependencies in Linux environments, coordinating with technical teams
• Provide user support, triage issues, and guide best practices for R, Python, and Shiny development
• Perform system hardening, security compliance per DoD STIGs/SRGs, and vulnerability scanning
• Monitor performance, manage access/authentication, and support backups/disaster recovery

Requirements

• US Citizen able to obtain Public Trust 5 clearance
• 5+ years systems administration in Linux (management, patching, optimization)
• 3+ years administering Posit products (Workbench, Connect, Package Manager)
• Experience creating/managing R and Python packages
• Experience with vulnerability tools (SCC, Nessus, ACAS)
• Knowledge of DoD SRGs/STIGs, backups/recovery; one certification (Cloud+, Security+, etc.)
• Bachelor's degree
