What you will do

• Develop medically accurate content for patient support services in both print and digital formats.
• Create patient and caregiver education materials, HCP-facing toolkits, and digital patient experiences.
• Conduct literature reviews and develop annotations to support promotional claims.
• Collaborate with account teams and pharmaceutical clients to refine content according to strategic imperatives.
• Translate complex medical and program information into clear, accessible language for diverse audiences.
• Participate in medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) review meetings.

Requirements

• BA/BS in life sciences, or BA/BS in English combined with 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical agency or medical communications company.
• Minimum 1 year of medical writing experience in healthcare advertising or medical communications.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical patient support programs, such as patient hubs and financial assistance offerings.
• Proficiency in American Medical Association (AMA) style.
• Experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, PubMed, and Google Scholar.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience developing content specifically for patient education or HCP communications.
• Expertise in summarizing healthcare business and scientific literature for managed care audiences.
• Working knowledge of managed markets, healthcare delivery systems, and health reform legislation (HMO, MCO, PBM).
