What you will do

• Architect and build the "Frontdoor" integration platform using Python, FastAPI, and PyArrow to normalize global partner data into Parquet datasets on S3.
• Design event-driven data pipelines via Kestra while maintaining and modularizing the existing Java Integration Service.
• Own the cloud infrastructure using Terraform for AWS (EKS, S3, RDS) and Helm for Kubernetes.
• Pioneer AI-augmented engineering workflows using Claude Code and custom MCP tools for architecture and deployments.
• Drive technical standards through design documentation, architecture decisions, and code quality reviews.
• Mentor engineers across US and LATAM teams to elevate backend and data engineering craft.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building production backend systems.
• Deep expertise in Java (Spring ecosystem) and working proficiency in Python.
• Strong track record in data ingestion, schema evolution, and high-volume data processing.
• Production AWS experience with S3, SQS/SNS, EKS/ECS, and IAM.
• Ability to navigate legacy monoliths while building new greenfield platforms.
• History of driving architecture decisions and writing technical design docs.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kestra, Airflow, or similar workflow orchestrators.
• Knowledge of the hospitality domain, including PMS/CRS systems and channel distribution.
• Genuine interest in prompt engineering and LLM coding agents.
