What you will do

• Build real-time instrumentation for performance monitoring and benchmarking frameworks for offline evaluation.
• Create performance-optimization workflows to evaluate and analyze system performance at scale.
• Analyze profiling data to identify resource utilization hotspots and optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with software component teams to implement actionable performance solutions.
• Help teams maximize code performance while minimizing resource contention.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in software development or related fields.
• Hands-on experience in developing, debugging, and profiling complex multi-process real-time systems, such as robotics or game engines.
• Strong knowledge of C++ and experience working with large code bases.
• Familiarity with CPU system architecture and OS fundamentals.
• Must be based in or able to work from Foster City, Seattle, Boston, or San Diego.

Nice to have

• Experience with Linux performance monitor tools like perf, eBPF, and Perfetto.
• Kernel or driver development experience.
• Experience with software and hardware benchmarking and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems.
