What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain tools for deployment, configuration, and operation of Grafana Alloy, OpenTelemetry Collector, and related components.
• Own and evolve Helm chart ecosystem for Kubernetes clusters, ensuring robustness and user-friendliness.
• Build cross-platform tooling supporting Kubernetes, Linux, Windows, and macOS.
• Support infrastructure-as-code integrations with ArgoCD, Terraform, Flux, and other GitOps utilities.
• Collaborate with support, product, and field teams to address customer pain points and improve tools.
• Contribute to open-source projects like Grafana Alloy, OpenTelemetry, and Helm charts; represent the company in community events.

Requirements

• Comfortable in remote-first culture with async communication across time zones
• 4+ years professional software engineering experience (Go preferred; Python, Rust welcome)
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience: deploying, operating, debugging in production, Helm familiarity
• Experience building/maintaining customer-facing tooling with focus on API/UX, compatibility, upgrades
• Strong testing skills at unit, integration, and end-to-end levels
• Engagement with open-source community

Nice to have

• Experience with Grafana Alloy or OpenTelemetry Collector
• Helm charts authoring/maintenance
• GitOps tooling like Terraform, ArgoCD, Flux
• CKA or CKAD certification
