What you will do

• Design and implement system architecture using kdb+ and the Q language.
• Optimize queries by managing the interaction between kdb+ and hardware (RAM vs. SSD).
• Develop and maintain shell scripts and manage file systems within Linux/Unix environments.
• Integrate messaging protocols such as Solace and Kafka.
• Collaborate with international partners to deliver high-performance tech solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of expertise in kdb+ and the Q language.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix, including shell scripting and memory management.
• Strong understanding of hardware-level optimization for data queries.
• English and Portuguese proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Must be available for remote work within Portugal or be willing to relocate there.

Nice to have

• Experience with frameworks such as Aqua or TorQ.
