What you will do

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including wages, deductions, tax withholdings, and payments to employees and agencies.
• Process Canadian and international payrolls with local providers, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
• Record and reconcile payroll transactions in accounting systems, including WSIB, EHT, and accruals.
• Lead payroll audits, assist with financial audits, and handle period-end closing with variance analysis.
• Act as payroll advisor, providing insights and leading cross-functional projects.

Requirements

• 3+ years in payroll and accounting roles with strong knowledge of recording transactions.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, HLOOKUPs, advanced functions).
• High attention to detail, accuracy, multitasking under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice to have

• Payroll certifications (CPM, PCP).
• International payroll experience.
• Accounting education background.
• Experience with Great Plains or similar systems.
