Location: Remote (distributed across Europe)
Salary: £105,000 – £120,000 + Equity

is building an AI-native transaction infrastructure to make global electricity markets transparent, fair, and efficient.
What you will do
- Lead hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development for the ML team.
- Design and maintain team operating syss, including sprint cadences, incident reviews, and model monitoring feedback loops.
- Serve as a sounding board for ML engineers to help surface risks and remove blockers without acting as a technical authority.
- Partner with the Rosso Engineering Manager to align priorities between ML and software engineering teams.
- Champion remote work culture and represent the company within the ML community.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing ML engineers or scientists across various levels (Junior to Staff).
- Strong track record in people development, including 1:1s, coaching, and progression frameworks.
- Experience building and owning team operating syss and prioritization frameworks.
- Strong hiring instinct for ML roles and experience building pipelines in competitive markets.
- Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams covering forecasting, optimization, and pricing.
- Experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
Nice to have
- Background in energy, fintech, or domains where ML is mission-critical.
- Experience evolving career frameworks or skills matrices from scratch.
- Familiarity with facilitating collaboration between ML and software engineering.
