A vertically integrated real estate investment and property management firm specializing in the acquisition and management of multifamily assets in South Florida.
What you will do
- Maintain accurate books across multiple entities, including properties and operating companies.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Execute bank and credit card reconciliations for high-volume accounts.
- Coordinate recurring accounting workflows and collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve documentation gaps.
- Improve bookkeeping processes by implementing automation and AI tools to increase efficiency.
Requirements
- 2+ years of recent experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or similar finance roles.
- Strong understanding of core bookkeeping principles (debits, credits, reconciliations).
- English proficiency level C1–C2.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for navigating and analyzing data.
- Must be based in Guatemala with a reliable internet and work setup.
Nice to have
- University studies in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience in real estate or property management accounting.
- Familiarity with multi-entity bookkeeping and AppFolio or similar systems.
- Experience using automation or AI tools in financial workflows.
