What you will do

• Build research infrastructure by organizing, cleaning, and structuring existing crawl data and designing new data collection streams.
• Conduct and publish original research on AI crawler behaviors (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, etc.), page visibility patterns, and bot ecosystem evolution.
• Develop domain expertise in crawler taxonomy, bot documentation changes, and machine-readable web standards.
• Use AI tools to accelerate analysis, synthesis, and pattern recognition in research workflows.
• Inform product, engineering, marketing, sales, and leadership decisions with data-driven insights.

Requirements

• EU timezone overlap preferred
• Published original research from hypothesis to conclusions.
• Hands-on large-scale data analysis with SQL and Python, including querying production data.
• Strong experiment design: hypothesis formulation, statistical validation, outcome measurement.
• Experience building data infrastructure and pipelines.
• Comfort using AI tools in research workflows; rigorous, curious, independent, clear writer.

Nice to have

• Direct experience observing AI crawler behavior in production.
• Hands-on technical SEO (crawlability, rendering, indexing).
• Familiarity with AEO/GEO, information retrieval, or NLP.
• Published/spoken on machine visibility topics.
