Director, Payments Products, Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB): Drive innovation and commercial success across payments and receivables products for UK’s largest corporates and institutions with an accent on domestic/international clearing, digital enablement, and infrastructure transformation. Focus on shaping go-to-market strategies, influencing investment decisions, and translating regulatory and market developments into prioritised product roadmaps.
Location: London (Hybrid working: at least two days per week or 40% of time at office site)
Salary range: £107,304 - £126,240

What you will do
- Build and implement go-to-market strategy across payments products suite
- Develop commercially compelling propositions backed by robust business cases
- Drive revenue growth, especially for institutional clients
- Influence investment decisions and secure executive sponsorship for product changes
- Represent the bank in regulated clients, fintechs, industry bodies, and payments ecosystem
- Translate market, regulatory, and competitive developments into product roadmaps and investment cases
- Partner with product teams, coverage, sales, finance, platforms, and engineers to deliver strategic outcomes
- Support, mentor, and lead high-performing payments product team
Requirements
- 10-15+ years extensive understanding of domestic/international payment systems, settlement models, and standards (FPS, CHAPS, SEPA, SWIFT, ISO 20022)
- Strong experience in digital payments channels including APIs and host-to-host models
- Proven product leadership in payments, preferably for fintech or institutional banking clients
- Detailed knowledge of UK regulatory environment and banking practices impacting client requirements
- Outstanding critical thinking, structured problem-solving, analytical ability, communication, and stakeholder influence
- Ability to deliver through teams, operate at pace with ambiguity, and maintain high integrity
