Principal Software Engineer (Java/Scala)

Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina (office presence 1-2 days/week expected)

What you will do

• Lead architecture and evolution of scalable backend systems.
• Define long-term technical direction in distributed systems and cloud.
• Identify hurdles, drive teams to delivery, own features end-to-end.
• Champion best practices, mentor engineers on code quality and design.
• Operationalise AI tools to accelerate development.

Requirements

• Based in Buenos Aires region; office 1-2 days/week
• Extensive experience with Java (Spring Boot) in large-scale systems.
• Deep cloud-native knowledge (GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD).
• Strong leadership across teams, communication with stakeholders.
• Self-starting mindset with end-to-end ownership.

• Event-driven architecture (Apache Kafka).
• GraphQL for APIs.
