Location: Fully remote position located in Colombia (Bogotá or Medellín).

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate scalable ETL/ELT pipelines from OLTP systems to data lake and analytics datasets.
• Evolve data lake and lakehouse foundations with partitioning, schema management, lineage, and delta sync.
• Implement Apache Iceberg-based datasets, change data capture, and secure sharing for external consumers.
• Build orchestration workflows for batch publication, dependency management, and engine-agnostic processing.
• Apply data quality, monitoring, governance, and security in production pipelines.
• Mentor juniors, lead technical decisions, and drive operational excellence through root cause analysis.

Requirements

• Located in Colombia (Bogotá or Medellín).
• Strong English communication skills.
• 5+ years in data/software engineering, 3+ years on AWS data platforms.
• End-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes/lakehouse (Apache Iceberg).
• AWS services: S3, Athena, Glue, Lake Formation.
• Incremental processing, CDC, secure access, production operations.

Nice to have

• Regulated domains like accounting/auditing.
