Lead Backend Software Engineer

TL;DR

Lead Backend Software Engineer (SaaS/CRM): Building scalable backend components and microservices for multi-tenant cloud platform with an accent on performance, scalability, and distributed systems. Focus on designing efficient algorithms, optimizing databases, and ensuring high availability in high-load environments.

Location: Israel - Tel Aviv (Hybrid: 1-3 days/week in office or Office-Based: 4-5 days/week)

What you will do

• Build new components for market technology to provide scale and efficiency in cloud platform.
• Develop production-ready code for millions of users, focusing on architecture, design, implementation, and testing.
• Make design decisions based on performance, scalability, and future expansion.
• Contribute to all SDLC phases including code reviews, automation, and testing in hybrid model.
• Implement efficient algorithms in microservice multi-tenant SaaS environment.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor juniors, and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Deep knowledge of OOP and languages: Java, Python, Scala, C#, Go, Node.js, C++.
• Strong SQL and experience with relational/non-relational DBs (PostgreSQL, Trino, Redshift, MongoDB).
• Experience developing SaaS on public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proven distributed systems design at scale, queues, locks, event-driven architecture.
• Understanding of software best practices and leadership skills; degree or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Generative AI expertise, RAG systems, Agentic workflows with LLMs.
• Big Data/ML, S3, streaming (Kafka), ElasticSearch, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker.
• Experience in high-paced multinational organization.
