Location: Remote in Argentina or Colombia, or based in Monterrey, Montevideo, or Rosario. Availability for occasional travel to Cancun, Mexico is required.

What you will do

• Design and own the end-to-end enterprise data architecture for a hospitality data platform.
• Architect lakehouse implementations, including zone structures, retention policies, and partitioning strategies.
• Design and govern data pipelines covering ingestion and delivery across batch, micro-batch, and streaming use cases.
• Develop data infrastructure to enable AI and machine learning workloads, including feature stores and inference pipelines.
• Define and enforce data governance standards, including lineage, cataloging, and PII handling.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to data engineers and collaborate with business stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data architecture, including senior or lead roles.
• Hands-on experience designing and operating production-grade data lake or lakehouse architectures.
• Proficiency with at least two major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling, Data Vault, or normalized relational modeling.
• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
• Must be available for occasional travel to Cancun, Mexico for on-site collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience in travel or hospitality data environments (PMS, GDS, OTA integrations).
• Experience designing architectures for RAG systems or vector databases.
• Familiarity with MLOps or LLMOps practices.
• Exposure to data mesh or federated data ownership models.
