What you will do

• Partner with engineering teams to identify security risks, prioritize them, and facilitate threat modeling.
• Conduct security testing against applications and cloud infrastructure to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Develop internal security tooling and automations to shift security left and reduce manual review bottlenecks.
• Design and implement security controls across cloud platforms and applications to mature the security posture.
• Investigate security alerts, evolve response playbooks, and lead cross-functional incident response.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in security engineering, application security, or software development.
• Ability to code effectively in at least one modern language such as Python, Go, or JavaScript.
• Experience conducting security design reviews, threat modeling, and code reviews for web applications.
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and securing cloud-native systems.
• Deep understanding of web application vulnerabilities, attack techniques, and mitigation strategies.
• Location: Based in Australia

Nice to have

• Experience with security tools such as SAST, DAST, SCA, and container security scanners.
• Familiarity with security standards and privacy frameworks like ISO 27001, GDPR, or the Australian Privacy Act.
