What you will do

• Lead system design and architecture for large-scale features to ensure robustness, scalability, and maintainability.
• Develop and maintain features for financial products, resolving bugs and enhancing the overall codebase.
• Break down high-level requirements into well-defined development tasks and work items.
• Mentor and coach team members through rigorous code reviews and technical guidance.
• Manage project schedules, priorities, and release status in communication with stakeholders.
• Drive strategic collaboration in development planning, retrospectives, and the recruitment process.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada.
• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Software Developer, preferably within a SaaS product company.
• Extensive expertise in designing complex, event-driven distributed systems and microservices, ideally in Financial Services.
• Proficiency in Golang, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience building and maintaining customer-facing UIs using React or similar frameworks.
• English: Fluent proficiency required.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent technologies.
• Understanding of containerized application management using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with data storage technologies like Redis, Google Cloud Datastore, or Elasticsearch.
• Proven experience developing scalable applications on AWS or GCP.
