What you will do

• Architect and own the secure network topology for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments, including segmentation and ZTNA strategies.
• Manage firewall and access governance, evaluating rule logic and leading ACL cleanup campaigns to ensure least-privilege compliance.
• Lead the deployment, tuning, and lifecycle management of WAF solutions and custom rulesets for OWASP Top 10 coverage.
• Serve as the senior technical escalation point for the SOC during network-related security incidents and threat investigations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Security, Cloud, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams.
• Produce executive-level risk reporting to influence stakeholders and align on strategic security initiatives.

Requirements

• 10-15 years in network engineering or security, with at least 5 years in a senior, principal, or staff role.
• Expert-level knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, TLS, and Layer 4–7 protocols.
• Deep experience with enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto, Check Point) and WAF platforms.
• Hands-on expertise in cloud networking security across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Strong fluency in zero trust, micro-segmentation, SASE, and SD-WAN security.
• Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional network security programs from inception to completion.

Nice to have

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, CIS Controls, or MITRE ATT&CK frameworks.
• Professional certifications like CCIE Security, CISSP, or GIAC GPEN.
