What you will do

• Design and execute automated tests for onboard software subsystems including OS, middleware, and sensors.
• Validate software behavior on embedded hardware platforms within hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) environments.
• Collaborate with software engineers to identify test gaps and expand coverage for new features.
• Debug and triage complex system-level issues across software and hardware boundaries.
• Develop reusable test frameworks and contribute to CI pipelines to enable developer self-service testing.

Requirements

• Experience testing embedded software systems, preferably on Linux or QNX-based platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Python and C++ for test development and automation.
• Experience with embedded hardware platforms and hardware/software interactions.
• Ability to debug and triage complex issues across various system layers.
• Knowledge of software testing principles, including integration testing and system validation.
• Must be based in Sunnyvale, CA

Nice to have

• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) testing environments.
• Familiarity with sensor systems or data pipelines (camera, radar).
• Experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., Buildkite).
• Exposure to robotics or real-time software environments.
