What you will do

• Take hands-on ownership of critical systems and frameworks, driving their architecture and long-term evolution.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of engineering projects to improve availability, scalability, and failure recovery.
• Build and maintain observability, alerting, automated remediation, and resilience testing.
• Drive deep root-cause investigations as a subject-matter expert during incident response.
• Eliminate single points of failure and reduce operational toil through automation and system redesigns.
• Ship production code regularly in Python and Go and participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of engineering experience building and operating distributed systems or cloud platforms.
• Strong programming ability in Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.
• Experience with modern observability stacks (metrics, tracing, structured logs, SLOs/SLIs).
• Must be a U.S. person or eligible to access export-controlled information per U.S. Government regulations.

Nice to have

• Background operating or building large-scale AI or GPU-accelerated infrastructure.
• Familiarity with DR/BCP, service tiering, capacity planning, or chaos engineering.
• Experience maintaining foundational production systems over multiple years.
