What you will do

• Improve machining efficiencies and train machinists on operations to meet hardware requirements.
• Develop production-level CNC programs and prove out first pieces on 3, 4, and 5-axis Mills and live tooling lathes.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation and standard work instructions using CAM systems.
• Apply cutting tool technology and fixture design to establish production best practices.
• Utilize lean manufacturing methods to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Perform research and develop ROI reports for new equipment acquisition.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen with an active U.S. government Secret security clearance.
• STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) or equivalent professional experience (typically 5-15 years).
• High proficiency in Mastercam CAD/CAM software.
• Demonstrated expertise in 5-axis and Lathe programming (with live tooling).
• Extensive knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proven experience working on the shop floor closely with production operators.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, ACE, or CORE methodologies.
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP/SAP systems.
• Proficiency in design software such as CATIA V, Solidworks, CREO, or Siemens NX.
• Experience with high precision ID/OD grinding and automated manufacturing cells.
