What you will do

• Design and develop internal cloud services and user-facing features for the Data Sources group.
• Improve how queries are transformed, routed, and delivered at scale.
• Influence the microservice architecture to ensure reliability and scalability in Grafana Cloud.
• Engineer new connection types to remote data sources.
• Collaborate across the Grafana division to solve complex engineering challenges.
• Active contribution to the product roadmap and alignment of career objectives.

Requirements

• Professional experience as a backend engineer with expertise in Go.
• Deep knowledge of cloud microservice architecture and systems design.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Jsonnet.
• Solid experience with distributed systems and performing operational/SRE tasks.
• Must be located in the UK, Germany, Spain, Ireland, or Sweden.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript and React.
• Familiarity with Prometheus or other observability platforms.
• Networking experience (DNS, SSH, SOCKS).
• Experience with LLM models and agentic workflows.
