Middle Business Analyst (AML)

Middle Business Analyst (AML): Designing and improving internal AML infrastructure for transaction monitoring and rule management with an accent on regulatory compliance and system logic. Focus on translating AML requirements into technical specifications and optimizing alerting workflows.

Location: Remote (Worldwide) or hybrid in Mexico, Serbia, Cyprus, or Georgia. Relocation support available to hub offices.

What you will do

• Gather and document business and regulatory requirements (BRDs, user stories, use cases) for AML systems.
• Design transaction monitoring logic, rules, and alerting workflows.
• Define data requirements, mappings, and system integrations for AML processes.
• Translate AML requirements into technical specifications for engineering teams.
• Manage discovery, backlog prioritization, and roadmap planning.
• Support the development lifecycle, including clarifications, UAT, and releases.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in business analysis or product management within fintech or banking.
• Strong background in AML & Compliance (KYC/CDD, sanctions, PEP screening, SAR, RBA).
• Proven ability to document requirements and design business processes using BPMN 2.0 or UML.
• Experience working with data and system integrations.
• Fluent English (C1) and readiness to work in a Spanish-speaking environment.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Miro, and basic SQL.
