Product Manager (AI): Shaping an open interoperability layer for AI-native software development via the Agent Client Protocol (ACP) with an accent on developer experience and protocol evolution. Location: Must be based in one of the following: Netherlands, Serbia, Germany, Cyprus, Spain, Czech Republic, Poland, or Armenia. Remote option is specifically available for candidates in Germany.

What you will do

• Identify and prioritize developer scenarios for ACP integration within hirify.global IDEs.
• Define IDE-native flows for complex features like plan mode and agent-to-agent communication.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external agent developers, and partners to collect requirements and constraints.
• Translate technical inputs into crisp problem statements, GitHub Issues, and roadmap priorities.
• Partner with protocol engineers to drive ACP proposals, implementation requirements, and delivery plans.
• Define and monitor success metrics, including protocol adoption, reliability, and developer satisfaction.

Requirements

• 1-4 years of product management experience or equivalent end-to-end ownership in a hybrid engineering/product role.
• Substantial software engineering background with hands-on production coding experience in real systems.
• Proficiency with web and integration primitives, including OAuth, WebSockets, HTTP, and JSON-RPC.
• Ability to reason about APIs, payload schemas, event-driven systems, and backward compatibility.
• Strong spoken and written English.

Nice to have

• Previous experience as a Senior/Staff Engineer, SDK owner, or platform/integration engineer.
• Experience with developer tools, IDEs, AI coding agents, or protocols like LSP and MCP.
• Contributions to open-source projects and familiarity with public GitHub workflows (Issues, PRs, RFDs).
• Regular use of hirify.global IDEs.
