Senior Java Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services and internal platforms for an online banking system.
• Work on integrations with third-party systems and custom-built services.
• Maintain and extend high-availability, customer-facing communication systems.
• Collaborate with Product, Platform, and Frontend teams to define technical solutions and system design.
• Support and improve existing Python services while developing new Java-based functionality.
• Contribute to overall system improvements in performance, scalability, and reliability.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in Java backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Spring Boot and Apache Kafka.
• Hands-on experience with Python 3.
• Experience with AWS (S3, RDS, Lambda) and cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines.
• English: Upper-Intermediate (B2) level required.
• Location: Must be based in Ukraine.

Nice to have

• Experience with FastAPI.
• Experience with Zendesk or similar platforms.
